Rationale for school uniform

  • Gives a level playing field, reducing the competition between students over clothing and thereby may reduce costs
  • Ensures a suitable minimum standard of clothing for our school community, for pride in presentation, comfort and hygiene
  • Lets us see clearly who are our students
  • Offers a positive representation of our school in our community
  • Is relatable to workplace expectations of dressing for work

Uniform Regulations

  • Tie optional but required to be bought if representing the school
  • DHS skort, skirt, shorts, or trousers
  • DHS shirt (options available)
  • DHS jersey
  • Years 10 – 13 DHS blazer optional but required if representing the school (can be hired)
  • DHS outer softshell jacket with DHS crest
  • Personal effects should be hygienic, safe and inoffensive (health and safety rules apply)
  • Socks plain black above shoeline
  • Thermals okay so long as not visible
  • Shoes plain black
  • Plain navy cap or bucket hat for sun / plain black beanie for cold
  • Sports socks
  • Plain black shorts
