Principal's Welcome

Kia ora. Nau mai, tauti mai, ki Te Kura Tuarua o Tawera – welcome to Darfield High School.

Here, you’ll find a pleasing blend of traditional and contemporary. Some “old-fashioned rural values” mean polite and practical students with ‘can-do’ attitudes and great community support, taught in single classrooms in beautiful grounds. Our teachers and staff are loyal and passionate about creating the best educational experience for every student.

We take pride in our rural roots and all the benefits they bring, but we also appreciate the opportunities of the city close by. Darfield High School students really do get the best of both worlds.

Principal, Andy England
